State volleyball and cross country results

EMPORIA --- The Lady Oilers of Central Plains placed second Saturday at the 2A State volleyball tournament in Emporia.

The number two-ranked team in the state, the Lady Chargers of Christian Heritage Academy of Olathe, defeated the Lady O’s in two convincing games to claim the 2016 title and dash Central Plains’ dreams of a repeat championship.

WAMEGO --- The Wilson Dragon  girls’ cross country team  placed 10th and the boys’ placed 11th at the 1A State meet in Wamego. It was the first State appearance for both teams from Wilson.
