Three sisters remember a brother

Editor’s Note — We received the following e-mail from Sharen Resendes: Having grown up on a farm outside of Marquette and a 1963 graduate of Marquette High School, I am proud to continue to call Marquette “My Hometown.” I have subscribed to the Marquette Tribune over all these years and enjoy reading about Marquette. I thought perhaps it would be of interest to some who still remember the Atkinson family to read about the Atkinson girls latest gathering.

Marlene Haberer and her husband, Eric, traveled from their home in Russell, Kan. in late September to meet her twin sisters Sharen Atkinson Resendes and Karen Atkinson Pricer and their husbands in Orlando, Fla. They enjoyed five fun-filled days visiting the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and relaxing poolside. Sister Sharen surprised Marlene and Karen with “Twisted Sisters” T-shirts, which they graciously wore the day the group spent at Magic Kingdom. Several came up to ask if they were indeed a group and what they sang.
