LYONS — The Ellsworth Bearcats beat the Lions of Lyons 49-37 in a non-conference baksetball game at Lyons. The ‘Cats took control of the game in the third quarter.

The Lady ‘Cats got a big first win of the season with a 43-42 win over the Lady Lions/ It was the first win of a season opener for a long time for the Lady ‘Cats.

HOISINGTON — The three-time defending champion 2A Central Plains Lady Oilers beat the Lady ‘Cards 58-22 in the Activity Center in Hoisington.

The Oilers defeated Hoisington by a score of 44-38 in the boys’ game.

WILSON — The Lady Dragons were defeated, 67-41, by Otis-Bison in Wilson.

The Cougars beat the Wilson Dragons by a score of 55-32 in the boys’ game.
