Christmas comes to Marquette
The 11th annual Marquette Christmas Celebration started the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 3, with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus in the Elizabeth A. Hopp Fine Arts dance studio. Children of all ages gave their Christmas wish lists to Santa and had their picture taken by Marilyn Hendricks. Elves gave the children bags of candy provided by the American Legion. “I was raised here and have been coming to the Christmas Celebration for five years now,” said Abbie Hudson of Marquette. “Although the weather is kinda crazy today, the celebration is still good.
