Hearing set on wind project

A public hearing on a request for a resolution aimed at the development of a wind farm will be Monday, Dec. 19, at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. The proposed farm would be the largest in Kansas if brought to full operation. At their regular meeting Monday, commissioners by consensus approved publication in the Ellsworth County Independent-Reporter of a hearing notice on the petition for a conditional use permit resolution for the Cross-County Wind Project.
