Commissioners sign off on wind permit

After about an hour of discussion Monday, Ellsworth County commissioners approved a resolution that could push forward plans for an 11-township wind energy project. Commissioners said Cross-County Wind LLC was still far from being a done deal; however, time was a factor because a 2015 state law says wind farm projects developed after the first of the year are no longer eligible for the state’s lifetime property tax exemption.
