Elim continues a Swedish tradition

Ballads of fruitcake and Swedish fish entertained scores of people Dec. 8 in the sanctuary of the Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette during the Swedish Supper. The music was provided by Dana Olson, Julie Olson, Brooke Olson, Sandy Edwards, Allen Lindfors, JoAn Lindfors, Jackie Larson and 20 fifth through 12th-grade students. Their songs of holiday cheer and Swedish food- related humor played to a hungry crowd as they waited their turns to enter the church’s downstairs eating area. Each visitor, armed with a card, was allowed to move from guest to diner when their number was called.
