Mama bears and bullies

My kids have always referred to me as a Mama Bear and I wear that proudly! Mama bears are fierce ... fierce in protecting, fierce in expectations, fierce with stiff justice as consequences of poor decisions. I support anti-bullying programs but believe that there is another piece to this. It is unfortunate but all of us will deal with a bully at some point — on the job, on a committee, even at church. Learning the skills to deal with bullying behavior may be one of the best life skills we can teach.
