Water Option

A tentative proposal not included in the $2.3 million bond issue being considered by Ellsworth officials to update the city’s water and sewer system could, if realized, draw together two entities with a less-than-friendly past.

The idea of a groundwater storage facility to hold 400,000 gallons of water surfaced after 18 months of discussions between Ellsworth city administrator Scott Moore and Dan Mount of the Post Rock Rural Water District.
