Lorraine Ordinance for number of required qualified electors for a nomination petition

State of Kansas, Ellsworth County, City of Lorraine:
ORDINANCE NO. 249
BEING AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER OF REQUIRED QUALIFIED ELECTORS FOR A NOMINATION PETITION ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LORRAINE,
LORRAINE, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LORRAINE, KANSAS:
SECTION 1. In accordance with K.S.A. 25-205, and amendments thereto, any person may become a candidate for city office elected at large by either filing a nomination petition or paying a filing fee required by law. The nomination petition must be signed by five (5) qualified electors of the City of Lorraine.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and partial ordinances that conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be published once in the official city newspaper, the Ellsworth County Independent/Reporter, and shall become effective from and after its publication.
