City of Ellsworth Ordinance Amending Cemetery Regulations

ORDINANCE NO. 3075
BEING AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REPLACING SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE 3046 AND ELLSWORTH
CITY CODE 12.16 AND PROVIDING FOR UPDATES
TO CEMETERY REGULATIONS WITHIN THE CITY
OF ELLSWORTH:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ELLSWORTH, KANSAS:
Section 12.16.080 (F) (2), shall be repealed and replaced with the following:
Monuments will not exceed ninety-six (96) will not exceed forty-two (42) inches in height from the existing grade; shall be placed on a minimum of ten (10) inch depth concrete, the same length and width of the base of the monument; shall have a minimum of two (2) concrete cores extending a minimum of the height of the monument or thirty-six inches, whichever is greater, below the bottom of the foundation; having at least one (1) core for every eighteen (18) inches of the length of the monument base.
