Joshua 'Josh' Charles Monzel (1985-2017)

Joshua ‘Josh’ Charles Monzel, 33, of Aurora, Colo. passed away June 10, 2017 in Aurora. He was born Aug. 17, 1985 at Grand Junction, Colo. to Forrest Wishcop and Sandra Monzel.

He was preceded in death by his father; great-grandparents, Charles and Myrtle Edwards, Arthur and Helen Sundquist, Ann and Walter Dodge; great-uncles, Thomas Edwards and James Edwards; great-aunt, Mable Westerlund; and cousin, Michaela Kahle.

Josh is survived by mother, Sandi Monzel of Aurora; grandmother, Mary Lou Barefoot, of Walterboro, S.C.; grandparents Bruce and June Wishcop of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; stepmother, Terry (Kevin) Bolte of Lindsborg, Kan.; brother, Brendon Wishcop of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Bryanna (Michael) Williams of Manhattan, Kan.; uncle, Charles (Terry, Austin, Chelsea) Monzel of Bluffton, S.C; aunt, Carole (Cody, Brooke) Lewis of Walterboro, S.C.; great-aunts, Marjorie Edwards of Grand Junction, Lisa Edwards of Franktown, Colo., Ann Edwards of Delta, Colo., Earlene (Don) Hickman of Grand Junction, and Linda Hupert of Fruita, Colo., Sharon (Tod) Cadwick, Deluth, Minn., Alice (Byron) Moren of Ely, Minn., Suzie Jenkins of Fargo, N.D.; Arthur Sundquist Jr. of Somerset, N.J.; great-uncles, David Westerlund of Fruita, JD Warren of Hamilton, Mont., Steve (Becky) Wishcop of Berthoud, Colo.; special friends (family), Connie Yekovich, Kris Coe and Lauren (Brian) Cheney; numerous cousins and friends and loved ones.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m.,  Sunday, July 9 at Fairmount Mortuary Little Ivy Chapel, Denver, Colo.

Memorials may be made to the Aurora Mental Health or Josh’s family to defray funeral costs.

Fairmount Mortuary and Cemetery was in charge of arrangements.
