City council meeting not a ‘cat-astrophe’

The meeting room at Marquette City Hall was overflowing Tuesday night, Jan. 9, as the subject of cats and what to do (and not do) about their presence in Marquette was on the agenda.
Around 25 members of the public joined the fivemember council and other city officials, many to voice their concerns over the December passage of an item that would allow citizens to borrow a live trap from the city to capture cats and relocate them on farms outside the city limits.
