Randy L. Sauvain (1957-2018)

Randy L. Sauvain, 61, passed away May 13, 2018 in Ellsworth.

He was born Feb. 23, 1957 in Great Bend, Kan. to Merrill and Phyllis (Linquist) Sauvain.
Randy was a mapmaker in the oil and gas industry. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed deer hunting. While attending Ellsworth High School, he enjoyed sports. This passion for sports carried over into his adult years.
Randy lived in New Mexico for 25 years before moving to Ellsworth in 2005. After moving to Ellsworth, he continued to go out on the road to work until he became the primary caregiver for his parents.
Randy is survived by his parents, Merrill and Phyllis Sauvain of Ellsworth; brothers, William “Bill” Sauvain or Superior, Neb., Rex A. Sauvain of Salina, and Rick Sauvain (Teresa) of Ellsworth; nephew, Chad Sauvain (Tabitha) and their son, Brandon of St. Peters, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Mary Sauvain; paternal grandparents, John and Georgia Sauvain; and maternal grandparents, Joe and Nettie Linquist.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Parsons Funeral Home with burial following in the Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.
