Poker run benefits ECF’s SLC

After 18 years of successful fundraising for the Spiritual Life Center, officials at the Ellsworth Correctional Facility are hoping to boost participation this year by moving up the “Run for the Soul” event. Normally held at the end of the month, the 19th annual motorcycle ride will be Saturday, June 2, to allow more farmers and their helpers to attend.

“The end of June is normally harvest time,” said Dale Bailey, ECF chaplain. “Many people are busy with harvest and can’t make it to the run.
