Warren T. Shaw (1945-2018)

Warren T. Shaw, 72, of Stilwell, Kan. passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, Kan.

Warren was born July 5, 1945 in Perth, Australia, to George and Joan Shaw. Warren graduated from Kanopolis High School, Kanopolis, Kan. in 1963. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Air Force.
Warren married Joy Salyers Nov. 1, 1964. Warren and Joy lived several different places while he served in the Air Force. They lived in Minot, N.D., Panama City, Fla., Oxfordshire, England, Las Vegas, Nev. and Ellsworth, Kan. Warren graduated from Barclay College where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Christian and family counseling. He worked as a counselor at St. Francis Boys Academy in Ellsworth, Kan.  Warren and Joy retired and moved to the Kansas City area to spend more time with their family.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joy Shaw; and two siblings:  Barbie Salyers and Kevin Shaw.  
Survivors include his two sons,  Greg (Angie) Shaw and Tom (Kim) Shaw; three siblings, Caroline Nowlin, Lorna Atkins, and Nancy Cumberland; five grandchildren:  Jacob Shaw, Tessa Hann, Cara Shaw, Teresa Shaw and Jackson Shaw.
