Ivan Eldon Hoosier (1951-2018)

Ivan Eldon Hoosier, 66, passed away June 5, 2018 at his home in Kanopolis.

He was born Oct. 19, 1951 in Fort Morgan, Colo., to Eldon Carl and Mildred Irene (Troyer) Hoosier.
Ivan married Betty Ann Kilgore in Portland, Ore. on Aug. 18, 1983. He was a social worker and a retired veteran from the U.S. Navy and Army National Guard. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Salina, Kan.
Ivan is survived by his wife, Betty Hoosier of Kanopolis; children, Ron Hoosier of Springfield, Ore., Rebecca Dolan of Boston, Mass., Cathy Hoosier of Lincoln, Kan., and Brittany Bulford of Germany; step-children, Melissa Bordeaux of Seattle, Wash. and Tiffany Ostergard of Portland, Ore.; brother, Dale Hoosier of Ellsworth; sister, Colleen Sieger of Gaastra, Mich.; sister, Vicky Ebbler of Wilbur, Neb.; grandchildren, Fallon, Cameron, Owen, Stella, Ava, Madeline, Penelope, Magnolia, and Ellianna; and step-grandchild, Addie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy; and step-father, Charles Buxton.
The memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
