Rains soak Marquette area

The streets of Marquette flooded briefly (above) due to the heavy rains that began Monday, Sept. 3. Below, the pond at Eisenhower Park was full and overflowing. According to the McPherson County. Daily Precipitation Report, Marquette received 1.25 inches of rain Sept. 3, followed by .88 inches Tuesday, Sept. 4 and .40 inches Wednesday, Sept. 5. The week’s heavy precipitation wrapped up Thursday, Sept. 6 with 1.46 inches of rain.
