Harold Delbert Wheeler (1944-2018)

Harold Delbert Wheeler, 73, Kanopolis, passed away Sept. 15, 2018 in Salina.
He was born Nov. 21, 1944 in Great Bend, Kan. He married Barbara Ann Whinery in Cherryvale, Kan. on Dec. 16, 1963.
Harold worked as a foreman for Acme Brick for 37 years and in maintenance for the TK Company in Ellsworth. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Hunters’ Safety, coached baseball from pee wee to American Legion, Kids’ Federation wrestling coach, women’s softball coach, and was a Mosaic volunteer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a diehard Nebraska Cornhusker football fan.
Harold is survived by his wife, Barbara of Kanopolis; children, Sherri Roxianne Beyard (Johnathan) of Salina, Delbert H. Wheeler (Melissa) of Marquette, and Jewel L. Shultz (Steve) of Kanopolis; grandchildren, Emily K. Reifsnyder (Ryan), Jesseka Green, Madison R. Krueger (David), Josie Riggs, Erika Del Wheeler, Nicholas Andrew Snelling, Corrina A. Beyard, and Johnathan T. Beyard; and great grandchildren, Kamren Krueger, Jayce Reifsnyder, and Korben Krueger.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Maxine and Jesse Marbut.  
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 20) at Parsons Funeral Home, with family present from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at the Kanopolis Methodist Church with burial following in the Kanopolis Cemetery.
