Councilman raises issue of current city codes

A recent meeting of the City Council in tiny Peabody attracted residents wanting to voice their opinions about the possibility of a proposed online business that makes referrals to independent contractors providing escort services using the town as its headquarters.

Peabody council member Jay Gfeller said the town’s zoning regulations regarding public health and safety were vague, according to a story in the Newton Kansan.
