Dr. Wayne K. 'Doc' Wallert (1938-2018)

Dr. Wayne K. “Doc” Wallert, 80, passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 in Ellsworth. He was born March 14, 1938 in Luray to Edwin and Violet (Parson) Wallert.
Doc served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Ellsworth American Legion Post 174. He was also a member of the Abdallah Shriners of Overland Park, past president of the Ellsworth Kiwanis, and a member of the Unity on the Plaza Church in Kansas City, Mo.
Doc was a Doctor of Chiropractic having recently celebrated his 50th year in practice, many of which were at his practice, Ellsworth Chiropractic Clinic. He was a graduate of the Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park and a member of their alumni association. Doc married Eva Bell in Olathe on Dec. 17, 1981. She survives him.
Doc is also survived by his daughters, Wyndi Kauffman of Kanopolis, Whitney Wallert of Overland Park, and Mackie Kimble (Scott) of Karnes City, Texas; sons, Warren Wallert (Jennifer) of Phoenix, Ariz. and Dr. Joe Pilsl (Audrey) of Marysville; grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Crilly, Joshua Kauffman, McKenna Kimble, Ashton and Jackson Wallert, and Clayton, Carolyn, Brenner, and Michael Pilsl; and sisters, Corrine Robinson and Vicki Williams both of Overland Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
