The Rev. Susanne Methven doesn’t refer to her charges at Salina’s Clover House as victims. She calls them survivors because of the skills they learned — and used — to escape life in the world of human trafficking.

For some, Clover House is the first time they’ve had their own room without bars on the windows. Or a pretty bed spread to brighten that room with color.
