USD 112 bond issue appears be going down in defeat in spite of hard work by many

As of 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, with all Ellsworth County votes counted, it appeared the $8.1 million Central Plains USD 112 bond issue was going to fail. Including tallies from Russell and Lincoln counties, the question had 305 “yes” votes to 555 “no” votes. Tallies from Barton and Rice counties were not available at press time.

Greg Clark, USD 112 superintendent, was hoping against hope the bond would pull through.
