Evelyn K. Gourley, 82, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 in Salina. She was born Jan. 14, 1936 in Ellsworth to Cristie and Mary (Lundgrin) Naegele.
Evelyn was a lifetime resident of the Ellsworth and Kanopolis areas where she was a bank teller at Kanopolis State Bank and later First Bank Kansas. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in the class of 1954 and was a member of the Kanopolis Sunflower Civic Club. She married Earl D. Gourley, Jr. Dec. 25, 1956 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Cris Gourley (Margaret) of Ellsworth; daughters, Kathleen Bunch (Mark) of LaCrosse and Angela Bunch (Randy) of Kanopolis; grandchildren, Craig Gourley (Samantha Oliver), Brian Gourley (Kayla), Cristopher Gourley (Jenna), Dylan Bunch, Zachary Bunch, and Taylor Bunch; great-grandchildren, Clay Gourley, Aaliyah Gourley, and Connor Gourley; sisters, Glennys Bruning (Leroy) of Ellsworth and Jolene Krier of Goddard; brother, Ralph Naegele (Rita) of Troy, Ohio; and special friends, Kimbree, Anthony, Ellie, and Claire Hopkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Enola Hetzler, Anona Vague, and Helen Mason; and grandson, Scott Bunch.
Visitation is from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth with family present from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the First Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth with burial following at Kanopolis Cemetery.
