City of Kanopolis Resolution to Support Workforce Housing

RESOLUTION #2018-R-08

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF KANOPOLIS,
ELLSWORTH COUNTY, KANSAS, IN SUPPORT
OF WORKFORCE HOUSING , a TAX CREDIT funded development being proposed by Pointe Royale
Development.  

WHEREAS, the City of Kanopolis City Council has considered a proposed plan for a Workforce housing development within the City of Kanopolis ; and
WHEREAS, the development will provide needed housing for families at a location within the City limits of                         .   
WHEREAS, this proposed housing is needed and is a vital part of the economic growth and future wellbeing of our community.   
WHEREAS, this housing will help us keep and attract employment opportunities in and for our community.  
WHEREAS, the developer is applying for funding approval with the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation and has requested the City’s support for their tax credit application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council for the City of Kanopolis, Ellsworth County , Kansas that the Pointe Royale Development application for the tax credit funding of said Workforce housing development has the full support of the City of                        .
