Future of USD 112's Central Plains Middle School to be decided at May 21 special meeting

By Alan Rusch, Independent-Reporter

The Central Plains USD 112 Board of Education voted April 30 during a special meeting at Central Plains Elementary School in Holyrood, to proceed with a resolution to hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at CEPS, on whether to close Central Plains Middle School in Bushton. The closing would take place beginning with the 2019-20 school year and beyond. Those students would be reassigned to CPES and Central Plains High School in Claflin.

At the end of the public hearing, the board will vote on whether to formally adopt the resolution and close CPMS.
