NOTICE OF HEARING

THE STATE OF KANSAS TO ALL PERSONS CONCERNED:

You are hereby notified that a Petition has been filed in this Court by Adam Larsen, one of the heirs of the James R. Larsen, Deceased, requesting:

Descent be determined to the following described real estate situated in Ellsworth County, Kansas, to wit:
    An undivided one-half (1/2) interest in the
    Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of Section Fourteen
    (14), in Township Fifteen (15) South, Range
    Nine (9) West 6th. P.M. subject to Union Pacific
    Railroad Right of Way, & Road Right of Way of
    State of Kansas and EXCEPT the following
    described tracts deeded to Smoky Hill Electric
    Cooperative Association of Ellsworth County,
    Kansas: Commencing at the Southwest corner
    of Section 14, Township 15 South, Range 9
    West, thence North along the West line of said
    Section 14 a distance of 755.1’ to the
    intersection of North line of Union Pacific
    Railroad Right of Way with said West line
    of Section 14; thence Easterly at an angle
    of 87 degrees 30’ with said West line of Section
    14, and along the North line of said Right of Way,
    a distance of 50’; thence Northerly parallel
    to West line of said Section 14, a distance
    of 50’, thence Westerly parallel to North line
    of said Right of Way, a distance of 50’; thence
    Southerly along a line parallel to West line
    of said Section 14, a distance of 50’ to point
    of beginning; AND Commencing at the
    Southwest corner of Section 15, Township 15
    South, Range 9 West, thence North along the
    West line of said Section 14 a distance of 755.1’
    to the intersection of the North line of the
    Union Pacific Railroad Right of Way, with said
    West line of Section 14; thence Easterly at an
    angle of 87 degrees, 30’ with said West line
    of Section 14 & along the North line of said
    Right of Way, a distance of 30’ to a point
    of beginning; thence Easterly along the
    continuation of said line a distance of 100’;
    thence Northerly parallel to the West line
    of said Section14, a distance of 75’; thence
    Westerly parallel to the North line of said
    Right of Way a distance of 100’; thence
    Southerly along a line parallel to the West
    line of said Section 14, a distance of 75’ to
    the point of beginning aka 1135 Old Hwy 140,
    Ellsworth, Kansas 67439

and all personal property and all other real estate owned by the decedent at the time of death and that all such property be assigned pursuant to the law of intestate succession.  
You are required to file your written defenses to the petition on or before June 28 2018, at 9:00 A.M. in Ellsworth County District Court, 210 N. Kansas, City of Ellsworth, Ellsworth County, Kansas 67439, at which time and place the cause will be heard. Should you fail to file your written defenses, judgment and decree will be entered in due course upon the petition.
