Locals attend Ambassador’s reception

Five area residents with strong ties to Czech culture and history — John and Lynn Kasper of Wilson, Bill and Lynn Dowling of Hays and Christine Dowling of Kirksville, Mo., a former Miss Czech Slovak U.S. and president of the Kansas Czechs, Inc. — recently attended a reception in Kansas City, Mo. in honor of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the United States, Petr Gandalovič, and the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the U.S., Peter Kmec.
