Oilers punish Victoria

CLAFLIN — The top-ranked 2A and undefeated Central Plains Oilers — playing at a level of competence that would defeat most of the 6A basketball teams in the state — overwhelmed second-ranked 1A Victoria 65-28 Friday in a Homecoming game at Claflin. The Knights are a quality basketball team and play a good brand of team basketball. They are one of the top boys’ teams that the I-R has witnessed this season, but the strength and balance of the Oilers has to be seen to be believed.
