Davis wins State sprint title

WICHITA — Ellsworth’s Kaden Davis is the 2016 State 3A 200-meter dash champion, turning in a time of 22.39 in the second heat of the race Saturday, in Wichita. As a team, the Bearcat boys placed fifth out of 64 teams with a total of 31 points. “It was great to take first in the 200-meter at the State track meet,” Davis said. “Taking second in the 100-meter and 400-meter will make me work harder for next year—although I did earn a personal best time in the 400-meter.”
