Ellsworth mulls school closings

The specter of July 1 school statewide closings was discussed by the Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Geneseo school board Monday at the district office in Ellsworth. “Well, I think there are a lot of school boards having this conversation this week,” said USD 327 superintendent Dale Brungardt. “I would like to think it won’t go down that road, but you know the closer it gets, the more I think there is a possibility.
