New courts add fun to tennis camp

The late spring heat was already intense the morning of June 16 as the high school students enrolled in the annual Ellsworth Summer Tennis camp worked on drills at the new EJSHS tennis court in Ellsworth. Former Lady ‘Cat Rachel Herzog — who swings a racquet for the Bethel Threshers in her college career, and was named to the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference all-conference second team as a sophomore — is in her second season of teaching the camp, which was started by EJSHS head tennis coach Eric Anderson about 15 years ago.
