Studies show that when human beings try to imagine the future, we tend to simply imagine the present and project relatively small changes (hoping for a little more of what we like and a little less of what we don’t). In reality change comes suddenly and in large doses, which is why we are so bad at predictions. With that in mind, here is my best attempt at thinking about the future of Ellsworth County.
