Quivira All-Stars win State

LYONS — The Quivira All-Stars, a 12-year-old and under Cal Ripken baseball team comprised of boys from Ellsworth, Central Plains and Hoisington clinched the State title Monday in Lyons. The boys were selected from teams that competed in the local Cal Ripken league, said Ellsworth Recreation director Ron Tenbrink.
