Happy, 130th Holyrood

More than 300 people lined Main Street in Holyrood Saturday, as the city celebrated its 130th birthday with the Holyrood Jubilee parade. The parade theme, “Watching Flowers Grow,” was a nod to the grand marshals of the Jubilee, Gerald and Nadine Pauley, of Holyrood. Gerald’s love and nurturing of flowers — found throughout the city parks and strategically placed flower pots — is well known in the community and can be enjoyed almost year-round.
