Sammy Q. Little (1935-2016)

Sammy Q. Little, 81, of Beverly, went to join the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016 in Salina.
He was born on June 28, 1935, to Arch Little and Aneita (Keller) in Ellsworth County. He married Kathryn Schroeder on Feb. 20, 1957.
Sammy was a farmer/stockman. He worked at various welding jobs. He also worked at Farmer’s Grain in Westfall and then with Lincoln County until he retired in 2000. Sammy continued working part-time after retirement. He was also an avid hunter. Sammy loved the Lord and was a member of the Faith Word Fellowship in Salina.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Kathryn Little of Beverly; daughter, Tammy Hogsett (Larry) of Lawrence; daughter, Judy Reh (Eldon) of Lincoln; son, Brent Little (Susan) of Hays; grandchildren, Erin Streit (Seth), Joel Schneider (Beth), Ashley Brown (Alex), Chelsea Hawk (Jordan), Samantha Schneider (Matt), Katelyn and Sammy Hogsett; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jaylan, Madison and Maysyn; sister, Lola Brown of New Hampshire; brothers, Max Little (Joan) of Canon City, Colorado and Don Little (Betty) of Salina; sister-in-law, Beula Little of Salina; brother-in-law, Dwight Brady, and many nieces and nephews.
Sammy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beryl Katzenmeier and Eunice Brady; brothers, Lowell and Jack; brothers-in-law, Amos Katzenmeier and Wilmer Brown; and sister-in-law, Carol Little.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
  Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Prairie Mound Cemetery, Ellsworth County.
There will be a celebration of life and fellowship time following the graveside service at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, rural Westfall.
