Fiesta means family time

For the past 77 years, the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Kanopolis has staged its annual Fiesta. The celebration originally raised money for construction of the church. With the land donated by George Andrews in 1947, and Father Ignatius Manzo and Msgr. John Duskie acquiring a war surplus chapel from World War II-era Camp Phillips, the completion of the community church was accomplished.
