Drainage discussion continues

Discussion continued at Monday’s Ellsworth City Council meeting on the possibility of Ellsworth buying a section of land north of Kansas Highway 140 for drainage control. Officials took no action following a 15-minute executive session to discuss land acquisition. The land in question is now owned by the Assembly of God Church and Sunday night, voting members of the congregation conducted a special business meeting to draft a proposal to take to the city.
