Saturday’s basketball tournament updates
TESCOTT --- The Lady Dragons continue to improve on the court, defeating the Lady Trojans of Tescott, 54-41, Friday at Tescott.
The Dragons have also upped their level of play, dominating Tescott for a 41-37 win in the boys’ game.
RUSSELL --- The Lady ‘Cats played a great first four minutes of basketball, even taking a brief 1-point lead, but top-ranked defending 2A champion Central Plains was just too powerful and won the contest, 76-30, in the Amos Morris-George Stephens tournament Friday in Russell.
The Lady O’s will play at 5 p.m. Saturday at the high school in Russell.
The Lady ‘Cats will play at 2 p.m. Saturday at the high school in Russell.
The ninth-ranked Central Plains Oilers won the match against a good Ellsworth team by a score of 64-47 Friday at Russell.
The O-men will play at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the high school in Russell.
Ellsworth will hit the courts at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the high school in Russell.
