Tuesday’s tales from the hardwood

WILSON — The ninth-ranked 1A Division II Wilson Dragons looked like a top-ranked team in the 53-23 defeat of the Chase Kats.

The Dragons played team basketball from the tip-off and simply dominated the floor with excellent defense, earning a 15-0 first quarter tally.

The Lady Dragons were vastly improved in the 69-30 win over Chase. Wilson’s defense set up a lot of Lady Dragon buckets in the first quarter of play.

Both Ellsworth and Central Plains had open dates and did not compete.
