Ellsworth City Administrator Scott Moore presents his vision for the community
On Jan. 17, Ellsworth City Administrator Scott Moore presented his vision for the community as part of the Drovers Roundup Speaker Series at the J.H. Robbins Memorial Library.
“Recognizing Our Past, Embracing Our Future,” Moore said, will likely touch on the history of cattlemen from the 19th-21st centuries, and how the Ellsworth community benefitted from the seeds planted years ago — which encouraged families to maintain their homesteads and motivated younger generations to seek higher education to help improve their quality of life and career opportunities.
“Ellsworth County has been blessed over the years to attract a good mix of industry that have attracted other developments and created some sustainability where other rural counties have faced a major decline in their population and tax base,” he said. “We are fortunate to have the different types of investments unfold here in the county, and feel there will be more opportunities to build upon the blueprint that our past and present community leaders have strived to maintain throughout the county in the upcoming years.”
