Work is about to begin on mold removal at jail

Ellsworth County’s mold problem may be closer to resolution as Sheriff Murray Marston appeared at Monday’s commission meeting with a contract proposal for cleanup.

Marston said there have been changes in the original bid from the Topeka company, H.I.S. Companies LLC, the county has hired as more was known about the scope of the job.

The biggest change is price.
