Feedlot plan is opposed

Monday’s Ellsworth County commission meeting was punctuated by opposition and concerns from rural Kanopolis residents about 4S Feeders’ request that officials sign a letter in support of reducing the distance between a home or dwelling and a feedlot.

The request is part of a plan to expand the family-owned farm.
