NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 327
ELLSWORTH COUNTY
STATE OF KANSAS
November 7, 2017

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to KSA 25-2018(b) a General School Election to elect three (3) Board Members will be conducted in Unified School District No. 327, Ellsworth County, State of Kansas, on the 7th day of November 2017.
To be filled in this election are Board Member Position No. 4, to be elected from Board Member District 1; Board Member Position 3 & Position 6, to be elected from Board Member District No. 3.
Board members will be elected for a term of four years beginning on the 8th day of January 2018.
Candidates shall file for such offices with the County Clerk, Ellsworth County, Kansas.  Each such filing shall be made before 12 o’clock noon on Thursday, June 1, 2017.  Each such filing shall be accompanied by a filing fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) or by a petition.  Candidates must file for a specific position and must be a qualified elector residing in the Board Member District in which that position is to be filled.  No candidate shall be permitted to withdraw this candidacy after the last date provided by law for filing such candidacy.
Notice is further given that if more than three (3) candidates file for any one position of the Board there will be a Primary Election on Tuesday, the 1st day of August 2017.  The names of the three (3) candidates receiving the highest number of votes for each position at the Primary Election, if one is held, shall be placed on the ballot at the General Election on November 7, 2017.
