Summer programs feeds hungry kids

With more communities across Kansas offering free meals this summer, children who went without something to eat just a few years ago have more opportunities to get the nutrition they may have been missing.

But even with more programs cropping up in Kansas, only a percentage of children qualifying for reduced and free lunches during the school year have access to free meals during summer vacation.
