Tom H. Tripp (1923-2017)

Tom H. Tripp, Sr., 93, passed away Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at his home in Kanopolis.

He was born Dec. 25, 1923 in Springhill, La. to Thomas and Della (Hood) Tripp. Tom served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Frances M. Perez in Plain Dealing, La. on Nov. 5, 1960. She preceded him in death in 2006.
Tom was a longtime resident of Kanopolis where he was a truck driver for White’s Construction.
Tom is survived by his sons, Tom Tripp, Jr. (Christy) of Kanopolis, John Tripp of Kanopolis, Richard Tripp of Hutchinson, and Matthew Tripp (Diane) of Kanopolis; daughters, Dolores Kyler (Ed) of Ellsworth and Rebecca Tripp of Great Bend; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and brothers, Bob Tripp (Wanda) of Doyline, La. and Jimmy Tripp (Mary) of Springhill, La.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, with family present from 6-8 p.m.at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Parsons Funeral Home with burial following in the Kanopolis Cemetery.
