City of Lorraine Ordinance for Salaries

State of Kansas, Ellsworth County, City of Lorraine:
ORDINANCE NO. 251
BEING ON ORDINANCE RELATING TO SALARIES
OF CITY OFFICIALS AND COUNCIL MEMBERS;
AND REPLACING ORDINANCE NUMBER 244.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LORRAINE, KANSAS:
SECTION 1. The city officials shall receive as compensation for their services the following amounts:
a. Mayor, $60.00 stipend per meeting;
b. President of Council, $40.00 stipend per meeting;
c. Council member, $20.00 stipend per meeting;
d. City treasurer, a monthly stipend, as set by motion of the Council;
e. City Clerk, an hourly wage, as set by motion of the Council;
f. City Judge, a set fee per court session, as set by motion of the Council;
g. City Attorney, a monthly retainer as set by motion of the Council and agreed by the City Attorney, plus fees;
h. Public Officer/Compliance Officer, a monthly stipend, as set by motion of the Council;
i. City Marshal, a negotiated fee, as set by motion of the Council;
j. Maintenance Person, a monthly salary, as set by motion of the Council;
SECTION 2. All prior ordinances in conflict with the hereinbefore described compensation are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall repeal ordinance number 244.
This ordinance shall be published once in the official city newspaper, the Ellsworth County Independent Reporter, and shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication.
Passed by the Governing Body of the City of Lorraine, Kansas on this 21st day of November, 2017 and signed by the mayor on this 21st day of November, 2017.
