City of Holyrood New Sewer Rates Ordinance

ORDINANCE NO. 605
BEING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE OF THE MONTHLY SERVICE CHARGE TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST EACH USER OF THE SANITARY SEWAGE
DISPOSAL SYSTEM AND THE SEWAGE DISPOSAL PLANT OF THE CITY OF HOLYROOD,
ELLSWORTH COUNTY, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF HOLYROOD, ELLSWORTH COUNTY, KANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The service charge to be paid the City of Holyrood, Ellsworth County, Kansas for the use of the Sewage Disposal System and Sewage Disposal Plant for each month or fraction thereof shall be as follows:
1. Family residences shall be twenty-one dollars and twenty-five cents ($21.25). The increase shall take effect on January 1, 2018. The rate will increase to twenty-two dollars and fifty cents ($22.50) on January 1, 2019. The rate will increase to twenty-three dollars and seventy-five ($23.75) on January 1, 2020. The rate will increase to twenty-five dollars and no cents ($25.00) on January 1, 2021.
2. Churches, Organization and Business places shall be thirty-seven dollars and seventy-five cents ($37.75). The increase shall take effect on January 1, 2018. The rate will increase to forty dollars and no cents ($40.00) on January 1, 2019. The rate will increase to forty-two dollars and twenty-five cents ($42.25) on January 1, 2020. The rate will increase to forty-four dollars and fifty cents ($44.50) on January 1, 2021.
3. Schools shall be one hundred sixty-three dollars and twenty-five cents ($163.25). The increase shall take effect on January 1, 2018. The rate will increase to one hundred seventy-two dollars and fifty cents ($172.50) on January 1, 2019. The rate will increase to one hundred eighty-one dollars and seventy-five cents ($181.75) on January 1, 2020. The rate will increase to one hundred ninety-one dollars and no cents ($191.00) on January 1, 2021.
4. Multi-dwelling facilities shall be sixteen dollars and no cents ($16.00) per unit. The increase shall take effect on January 1, 2018. The rate will increase to seventeen dollars and no cents ($17.00) on January 1, 2019. The rate will increase to eighteen dollars and no cents ($18.00) on January 1, 2020. The rate will increase to nineteen dollars and no cents ($19.00) on January 1, 2021.
SECTION 2. Any Ordinance or parts thereof conflicting with this Ordinance is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its publication in the Ellsworth County Independent Reporter, the official city newspaper.
