NOTICE TO H&B COMMUNICATIONS
TELEPHONE CUSTOMERS

Beginning April 1, 2017, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will increase the Federal Universal Service Charge (FUSC) from 16.7%  to 17.4% on your monthly Interstate Access Charges.    
The FUSC surcharge factor recovers the costs associated with H&B Communications    contributions to the Federal Universal Fund program.  This government mandated program is designed to help keep local telephone service rates affordable for all customers in all areas of the United States.

COMPANY CUSTOMERS

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has recently increased the amount needed to maintain the federal universal service fund.  Due to this adjustment, after April 1, 2017, you may see a change in the amount on your bill going to the Federal Universal Service Fund.  This amount may continue to change quarterly, depending on actions taken by the FCC.  The federal universal service fund program is designed to help keep local telephone services rates affordable for all customers in all areas of the United States.
