RESULTS OF THE MARKET STUDY ANALYSIS
FOR ELLSWORTH COUNTY
FOR THE ASSESSMENT YEAR 2017

PURSUANT TO K.S.A. 1995
SUPP. 79-1460A

A study of the residential real estate market for older houses, i.e. built before 1945, indicated that there is an overall inflationary trend of 1.0% to 8.0%.
 A study of the residential real estate market for newer houses, i.e. built after 1945, indicated that there is an overall inflationary trend of 1.0% to 8.0%.
A study of the land (vacant & improved) real estate market indicated that the market is stable with an upward trend in the rural areas. They are as follows:

For closing of registration books

March 7, 2017

Pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2311(c), notice is hereby given that on the 14th day of February 2017, all registration books for the General Election will close at the end of regular business hours.  Registration books will remain closed until the 8th day of March, 2017.

    NOTICE OF SPECIAL QUESTION ELECTION
ELLSWORTH COUNTY, KANSAS

Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of Ellsworth County, Kansas (the "County") that a special question election has been called and will be held on March 7, 2017, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the County the following proposition:

    Shall the following be adopted?

    Shall Ellsworth County, Kansas, be authorized
    to impose a one-half percent (0.5%) retailers’
    sales tax (the “New Sales Tax”), with 50% of the
    sales tax proceeds to be applied to pay the
    costs of constructing, improving and
    maintaining bridges in the County, and 50%
    of the sales tax proceeds to be applied to pay
    the costs of providing health care services in

NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING
OF THE ELLSWORTH COUNTY
CONSERVATION DISTRICT

To all qualified electors residing within the boundaries of the Ellsworth County Conservation District, notice is hereby given that pursuant to K.S.A. 2-1907, as amended, on the 30th day of January, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. an annual meeting of the Ellsworth County Conservation District will be held at the American Legion Post #174, Ellsworth, Kansas.
The meeting agenda shall include the following business items:
ONE: The supervisors of the Ellsworth County Conservation District shall make full and due report of their activities and financial affairs since the last annual meeting.
TWO: They shall conduct an election by secret ballot of qualified electors, there present, of two supervisors to serve term of three years from date of said meeting.
